How did all start?
I couldn't walk right anymore and fell a lot
Do you already have a diagnosis? How long did it take you to get it?
About a month after one of my falls, I was diagnosed
For what medical specialties have you been treated? What has been the most useful specialty for your?
I've had physical therapy, but it really didn't help me that much. I'm on pain meds
What have been your biggest difficulties?
Walking
How has your social and family environment reacted? Have your social or family relationships changed?
My social life decreased because I can't keep up with anybody
What things have you stopped doing?
Gardening, I can't keep my balance and fall when I'm outside.
What do you think about the future?
I'm scared that I'm gonna end up in a wheelchair
So far, which years have been the best years in your life? What have you done during them?
My 30's were the best years. I was very active, healthy, and I enjoyed life
What would you like to do if you didn’t have your condition?
Take care of the things I can't take care of anymore
If you had to describe your life in a sentence, what would it be?
My life, at this point, stinks.
Finally, what advice would you give to a person in a similar situation?
Don't give up. Always keep going
