Started with chronic ear infections with smelly discharge

Hearing implants

What have been your biggest difficulties?

Hearing loss & tinnitis

How has your social and family environment reacted? Have your social or family relationships changed?

Family no, friends yes.

What things have you stopped doing?

Do not socialise as much as I used to.

What do you think about the future?

Getting older and deafer

So far, which years have been the best years in your life? What have you done during them?

Re married at 40 and life has been amazing. Took up wood turning, horse riding, purchased a farm.

What would you like to do if you didn’t have your condition?

Nothing different

If you had to describe your life in a sentence, what would it be?

Wonderful family and friends and live in an amazing rural area.

Finally, what advice would you give to a person in a similar situation?

Learn to find a way that relaxes you and take time out for yourself.
