Story about Cholesteatoma .

My son was 11 when he was dx'd with a cholesteatoma in his left ear.  Two surgeries with a surgeon through University Hospital's Rainbow Babies & Children's Hospital within 9 months, both times a significant ctoma was removed.  3rd surgery was with a specialist through Cleveland Clinic, where the ctomas had again returned.  Surgeon preformed a canal wall down procedure since he was not certain if the regrowth was from something left behind during the last surgery or if he was dealing with an agreesice ctomas and what he found was all new.  10 months later, ear is clean, dry and looking great!  Praying it never returns...
