Colloid cyst

Feb 18, 2016

By: Levi

I had what I assumed was heat stroke in July of 14, pressure in the ears, sinus and eyes. It was completely inescapable pain. When I would take a shower, if water got in my ears it would drain out extremely warm. I drove myself to the emergency room after three days of constant pain and unpredictable drowsiness. They refused to let me leave after they did an mri. They told me the surgery would have to take place immediately or the possibility of death was guaranteed. I don't remember much after the surgery, or much of my stay in the hospital. In truth, the first four to five months post op are a blur. I was angry and aggressive. I was irrational, and in more pain than I was experiencing initially. That faded over the next year gradually, now I am usually exhausted, and plagued with depression and all of the existential woes that follow said state of mind. I wish it would get better but nobody really has any info on when or if this condition will allow me to return to life as normal.
