Dylan's Story

Dec 18, 2015

By: Dylan

My son, Dylan, was diagnosed after his 2nd break (tibia). He had previously broken his arm, but the FD was not noticed. He broke his femur in 2008 just playing at school on the playground. He was in 5th grade.  He has a titanium rod in his femur now.  His entire left side is affected and he is showing signs of MAS as well.  Dylan doesn't like to talk about his condition and tends to live his life how he chooses without letting it affect him.  But he has not been able to participate in sports and we are now keeping an eye on his pelvic bone as it is compromised.
