Story about Mastocytosis and MCAS .

dots

Dec 2, 2

I was diagnosed in February of 2015. Oddly it was because I had a grade 3 tear in my hamstring. Then was referred to Bellevue dermatologist. They had a team look at me, and we're very intrigued by the many skin lesions and dots I had all over my body.

They took a sample, and some blood tests and confirmed that I had Cutaneous Mastocytosis. So, I began 4 months of the light box radiation therapy twice a week with steroid cream, and antihistamines daily. After month and months of pretty much trial and error we found no change in appearance. I'm now in the process of going to UW medical where they can keep a closer eye on me and monitor my everyday activities.
