How did all start?
Leased a new VW Tiguan. New car off-gasing plus deodorizing service did me in.
Do you already have a diagnosis? How long did it take you to get it?
Not officially. My doctors never heard of multiple chemical sensitivity. They treat me for seizure like symptoms.
For what medical specialties have you been treated? What has been the most useful specialty for your?
Neurology and immunology.
What has been the most useful thing for you so far?
My P65 3M 8577 mask.
What have been your biggest difficulties?
Housing and work.
How has your social and family environment reacted? Have your social or family relationships changed?
Family can be extremely inconsiderate/thoughtless.
What things have you stopped doing?
Traditional painting/drawing
Going to department stores
Wearing products with synthetic fragrance.
What would you like to do if you didn’t have your condition?
Go back to living a normal life.
If you had to describe your life in a sentence, what would it be?
Difficult.
Finally, what advice would you give to a person in a similar situation?
Find another person with MCS for support.
