Cade was diagnosed during his time in he NICU following his birth. Born at 39 weeks and monitored for dangerously low blood sugar, which ultimately led to labs, an MRI, and a diagnosis of Ectopic Posterior Pituitary at two weeks old. He takes Hydrocortisone every eight hours, thyroid medication every morning, and growth hormone every night. Although genetics has always allowed him to be tall, his labs and blood sugars are why he's on growth hormone since HGH does so much more than help him grow. Cade is a thriving three year old who will be starting preschool two days a week in the fall. My hope as a mother is to have a very HAPPY and HEALTHY little boy who lives as "normal" of a life as possible. He is my greatest joy, my saving grace, and my best friend.
