Lexi1991's interview

How did all start?

Periods never became regular as a teen

Do you already have a diagnosis? How long did it take you to get it?

I was lucky in that it was caught when I was young. Got an initial diagnosis when I was 14.

What has been the most useful thing for you so far?

Going low GI has helped me a lot with weight management and also with the hair growth

What have been your biggest difficulties?

Hair growth really affects my confidence and I also struggle with my mental health

What things have you stopped doing?

Eating sugar/white carbs...at least until I have a bad

What do you think about the future?

Scary...I would really like to have children one day and although we aren't trying now I am aware of the possible difficulties and it scares me how that could affect my mental health.

So far, which years have been the best years in your life? What have you done during them?

The last 18 months have actually been great as I've started to try to understand my condition more and it's helped me to learn to manage the symptoms

What would you like to do if you didn’t have your condition?

Wake up and leave not worrying about my beard. Be able to wear crop tops without worrying about body hair.

If you had to describe your life in a sentence, what would it be?

Beginning to understand
