Story about Short Bowel Syndrome .

Screwed up surgery

Dec 24, 2016

By: Linda

13 years ago I had a 3 cm tumor (?) n my surgeon was convinced that I had Carinoid cancer. Of course  hearing those words and having had breast cancer 7 years previously I was not in a position to look into my situation n get second opinion like I should have. I had none of the other symptoms of carried, but the surgeon kept cutting even thou the biopsy during surgery did not indicate cancer, it was a hematoma with some necrosis, nothing that indicated the amount of cutting was done. He said he was convinced until he got the final biopsy.  Will that is what the final biopsy showed. So now I lost part of my large colon, illium, illicovalue, n part of my small bowel. N chronic diahria, for 13 years now started instantly waking up from surgery n has only gotten worse over the years.
