One diagnosis at a time

May 14, 2016

I was born 18 days later than due date. Practically rather healthy but mom said I was almost died when I was about three years old.. High fever each night for weeks.  Fast forward, I started having tmj after I yawn too wide.  Later had Le fort1 and vso surgery to correct my bite. It helps my tmj. But it led to trigeminal neuralgia.  Went to three different pain specialists in NL. Was later said I had fibromyalgia.  Acupuncture helped it.  Meanwhile I had repetitive strain injury in my right thumb and wrist...  Which my physiotherapist said I was hypermobile. Prof Rodney Grahame connected me with a specialist in NL.. Was diagnosed with Hypermobility syndrome. Prof Grahame said it's also EDS-3. However the Dutch doctor didn't think so.  Two years ago was diagnosed with sjogren’s syndrome which is an autoimmune disease.  At present I still work full time. Every now and then I flare up. Then I slow down :)
