How did all start?
After a denture adjustment in May 2023, pain gradually got worse to 8 & 9 levels of pulsing and shooting pain in my jaw.
Do you already have a diagnosis? How long did it take you to get it?
4weeks of denture adjustments then oral surgeon diagnosed after checking, referred to my regular doctor for treatment.
For what medical specialties have you been treated? What has been the most useful specialty for your?
Dentist, then regular dr who tried but eventually said to go to neurosurgeon, decided to get a second opinion of a neurologist first, waiting 2 months for a appointment, still waiting
Currently on 1200mg Oxtellar er & duloxetine 120mg
Everyday pain gone, but pain returns for EATING, depression on what the future holds
What have been your biggest difficulties?
Love working hard at work, a store manager of a pharmacy, seems the harder I work the more I hurt, seems like the side effects of the medication makes me tired and light headed all the time. Currently taking 1/2 to 1 day off a week to rest, but sick time will be used up, applied for intermittent leave just in case since call-outs are adding up.
How has your social and family environment reacted? Have your social or family relationships changed?

What things have you stopped doing?
With all the medication, quit alcohol since it seemed to make the side effects worse

Everything up to this year, going forward is a unknown for me
What would you like to do if you didn’t have your condition?
Work, retire and live without pain

Hard working loved manager and husband/father.
