How did all start?

Terrible ear pain that spread to my jaw, temple, and throat.

Do you already have a diagnosis? How long did it take you to get it?

Yes. One week.

For what medical specialties have you been treated? What has been the most useful specialty for your?

General practitioner and neurologist.

What has been the most useful thing for you so far?

Tegratol

What have been your biggest difficulties?

Over coming the pain and fear of pain.

How has your social and family environment reacted? Have your social or family relationships changed?

No change. My husband and grown children are very supportive.

What things have you stopped doing?

Going to music concerts.

What do you think about the future?

A mixture of hope and worry.

So far, which years have been the best years in your life? What have you done during them?

I only developed this disease this year and I'm 50 now. Raising my children were my best years.

What would you like to do if you didn’t have your condition?

Travel, go to music concerts.

If you had to describe your life in a sentence, what would it be?

Hopeful.

Finally, what advice would you give to a person in a similar situation?

If one dr won't listen, go to another.
