How did all start?
Noticed a reduction in endurance and wind.
Do you already have a diagnosis? How long did it take you to get it?
Diagnosed about 3 years ago. Saw repeated doctors who blamed all my symptoms on the fact I was smoking at that time and was over weight.
For what medical specialties have you been treated? What has been the most useful specialty for your?
Finally located a pulmonologist who took the time to look deeper.
What has been the most useful thing for you so far?
I am doing the weekly infusions.
What have been your biggest difficulties?
Coming to realize I have to slow down and am not able to do things I once could do with ease.
How has your social and family environment reacted? Have your social or family relationships changed?
No real changes.
What things have you stopped doing?
Have not stopped anything, but have had to adjust how some things were done.
What do you think about the future?
I take it day by day.
So far, which years have been the best years in your life? What have you done during them?
Had a great childhood. Wish I know back then to appreciate it more than I did.
What would you like to do if you didn’t have your condition?
Be able to do simple tasks which now are much more difficult.
If you had to describe your life in a sentence, what would it be?
Shoulda, woulda, coulda
Finally, what advice would you give to a person in a similar situation?
Take what life throws at you and keep going.
