A Arnold Chiari story

I was diagnosed in 2004 after sneezed and had sharp pain from the base of to skull on the back on the leleft side all the way up and down to my eye every thirty seconds. My orthopedic doc did an mri and found it. He called me at work and told me he was sending me to a neurosurgeon the next day and I had to take off work the next day. I Went a awesome neurosurgeon in Kalamazoo Michigan. He told me he is surprised my head was still attached. He went over my MRI with me and family. He told me if i do not go tthru with the surgery, I will be in a wheelchair in 6months to a year or I will be dead in 6 months to a year. It took me three months of the pain to finally go thru with it. My daughter just turned five on July 25,2004. I had the surgery on July 29,2004. I was doing great until Feb 2013. I became weaker by the day, joint pain was unbearable, pressure and chiari headaches that put me in the er once every two weeks. I Was put thru hell and back until about 6 months ago. I found a family doc, general surgeon, ortho doc and pain clinic and a neurologist that knows about chiari and they have been the best docs ever. I have been put thru hell from 2013 until 2015 with finding docs that are familiar with it and are willing to help me fight thru this. It ha taken a HUGE toll on my body, family, and relationships, but I am very thankful for my parents, sister, grandma and my friends. If  didn't have them I would not be fighting this evil monster today. Thank you for reading my story and God bless!!
