A Cyclic vomiting syndrome interview .

Katie's interview

How did all start?

On day in Aug 1999 out of nowhere I started vomiting. My first episode lasted 3 months straight. I had so many test run it was crazy. I did have 1 meal in that 3 months. It was after surgery to remove my gall bladder. It came right back 10 min later. I was then sent to Chan's in New Orleans. Where it was more tests and while they never gave me a diagnosis they did find a drug cocktail to make me stop vomiting.

Do you already have a diagnosis? How long did it take you to get it?

Yes I have a diagnosis it started when I was 19. I finally got a diagnosis when I was 26. So 7 years.
