Year Condition Began: 2008

Our journey begin with my mother being diagnosed with ovarian cancer when I was 20 about 22 yrs ago now. She had a tumor the size of a softball when it was finally found. She survived the ovarian cancer and started having cancerous colon polyps in 2005. It was then that her doctor suspected Lynch and send her for genetic testing, for some reason no one put 2 and 2 together and it wasn't until I had a sebaceous carcinoma on my scalp that I was tested and diagnosed with Lynch.

I have gotten a few colon screenings and have kept up with my pap smears and ultrasounds....but I feel like a ticking time bomb with no one really paying attention. When I told my new Dr., he just flat didn't believe my diagnosis. I am 42 and should really have a historectomy but just haven't found the time. My youngest is about to turn 3. I would love to find someone nearby with Lynch.
