Story about Multiple myeloma .

One day, one step

Jul 19, 2017

By: Darcy

I was diagnosed in  May 2014 after my L1 totally collapsed. There was a tumor behind the L1. I have lesions on L4 and L5 and one on my skull. I have been on 3 different medication regimen's and had a failed stem cell transplant in 2015. My m-spike and Lambda light chains continue to be good (just not in remission) but I continue to feel horrible. I am always exhausted and have ongoing bone pain. I continue to work full-time. I have a bucket list of things I want to accomplish before I can no longer travel. I went to Europe in April with my husband. We are going back next April 2018. This time 2 of my 3 siblings are going with us. My motto is one day, one step.

Hi Darcy, I'm wondering how it's going. I was diagnosed in 2012. Starting another treatment next week. Will keep it short & see if you are able to respond. I live in Surrey, BC Canada. Where are you?
