Story about Small Fiber Neuropathy .

15 year old

By: Cassia

I was 15 years old when I started experiencing numbness in my legs and a few months later pain in both legs.

The pain moved to my hands. A this time they have not found a cause. It is not autoimmune.  The mylan sheath coating on the nerves is barely detected. Meaning severe damage.

I tried Gabapentin and it made me very drowsy. Then went on Lyrica which gave me hand tremors. Neither really helped.

I have not been able to attend high school since walking and writing are a problem.

Still searching for relief through acupuncture.
