X-Linked Myopathy with Excessive Autophagy is not contagious. It is a genetic disorder caused by mutations in the VMA21 gene. This condition primarily affects males and is inherited in an X-linked recessive pattern. It leads to muscle weakness and wasting due to excessive autophagy, a process of cellular self-degradation. However, it cannot be transmitted from person to person through any means of contact or exposure.
