How did all start?
Hard Work Jobs long days, Pain, Surgeries, lumbar punctures, Laser spine Institute surgery.
Do you already have a diagnosis? How long did it take you to get it?
Official 2018 but struggled since 2012, 5 years before I saw it in writing.
For what medical specialties have you been treated? What has been the most useful specialty for your?
Anti-inflammatory meds, Hydrocodone, Trigger point injections, Medrol Dose packs, chiropractic care. Surgery, Pain management, Diet changes.
What has been the most useful thing for you so far?
Pain meds. Support from my Dr.
What have been your biggest difficulties?
Constant severe pain. No longer useful or able to work.
How has your social and family environment reacted? Have your social or family relationships changed?
Yes, diminished substantially.
What things have you stopped doing?
Hunting, fishing, working, hobbies. Etc...
What do you think about the future?
Can't see it anymore.
So far, which years have been the best years in your life? What have you done during them?
Before chronic pain.
What would you like to do if you didn’t have your condition?
Everything. Work, play, fish. Travel.
If you had to describe your life in a sentence, what would it be?
A constant struggle to distract myself from the pain I feel.
Finally, what advice would you give to a person in a similar situation?
Hang in there. Try to be happy if you can. The little annoyances of life do not matter.
