My journey so far

Year Condition Began: 2011

Back pain led me to taking a leave from work as a nurse in a cardiologist office. I had two back surgeries that made it even worse with a bonus of leg neuropathy and was diagnosed with arachnoiditis after a MRI in 2013. I had to file for disability because I couldn’t do my job anymore. Then I tried getting a spinal cord stimulator at the advise of my pain management doctor. Who then put a old device in me that isn’t MRI compatible so now I can’t check the progress of the arachnoiditis. No one in my area is educated about this disease. I get passed around from doctor to doctor. Pain management just gives me pain meds to help but nothing more can be done. I’m hanging on but it’s getting hard. If it wasn’t for the mobile wheelchair my husband bought me I wouldn’t get to do anything fun. I can only stand or walk about 10-20 minutes at a time. I miss my life but great full for what I have I know it could be much worse.
