Such low-grade temperatures may signal oncoming illness or an approaching lupus flare. Fever can also signal inflammation or infection, so it is important to be aware of the patterns of your body and notify your physician of anything unusual.

Hi Julie,

While I do agree that a low-grade fever may be the onset of an oncoming flare. However, if this is a 'normal' for you keep a running log of your temp and symptoms to make sure you're not coming down with a possible infection. Also, check your joints for 'hot spots'. If you have any joints that are warm/hot to the touch this could be a sign to an impending flare. Keeping a log is one of the best things you can do so you can track your symptoms and see if there's a pattern.

Take care. Sending you extra spoons!

I go through that often. Usually on a days when I have minimum activity. It also comes in early evening hours with chills.
