Lisa's interview
How did all start?
Constant headaches, both arms, constant tingling itching, numbness, and pain.
Do you already have a diagnosis? How long did it take you to get it?
Currently going back and forth to workers comp docs. I had an MRI on 11\2016, spine doc saw a 6mm syrinx in my cervical spine. I'm having a 2nd MRI in 2 days to be sure. He also saw 3 herniated discs, c5 c6 c7.
For what medical specialties have you been treated? What has been the most useful specialty for your?

What have been your biggest difficulties?
Managing the pain is difficult, going up and down stairs.
How has your social and family environment reacted? Have your social or family relationships changed?
I'm not as active as I used to be. I kept wondering why I was slowly losing some activities.
What things have you stopped doing?
I can't walk very far anymore
What do you think about the future?
I'm very positive about my future
So far, which years have been the best years in your life? What have you done during them?
The first 45 years have been great, the last 3 have been very rough
What would you like to do if you didn’t have your condition?
I'd like to be more active everyday.
If you had to describe your life in a sentence, what would it be?
I'm very optimistic, and I believe i will continue to have a long life.
Finally, what advice would you give to a person in a similar situation?
Stay positive, and try to stay as active as possible.
