Year Condition Began: 2019

Acute onset with pain at braline. Heavy legs and tingling. By morning could not walk. Lost bowl and bladder function. Diagnosed by local doctor. Rushed to larger hospital. Given IV Steroids 5 days then tapered with pills. Stayed in hospital 5 weeks then transferred to Intensive PT hospital for 5 weeks. Continued PT at home for 2 months. I am 90% better but have burning, weakness, fatigue, and pain. I monitor bowl and bladder excessively bc I fear infection/blockage but so far have not had any. However, I have strange sensations and discomfort in my abdomen and bladder area. I believe my body doesn’t know how to interpret gas/bowls/bladder and is hyper sensitive to it. Riding in a car exhausts me bc my body is super sensitive to vibration. I currently only take vitamins. I will have dull pain at my lesion site T5-T7 if I overdo it. I cannot feel hot or cold from braline to toes. I do better moving around. If I sit or stand in one position too long it causes discomfort. I am active but I cannot “run”. Most of my weakness is hip area.
