A Amyloidosis story

Like many people with Amyloidosis, I was dismissed by the medical profession.. The symptoms are variable and vague and they mak other illnesses. However in saying that when one googles them all together viola AMYLOIDOSIS comes up as a likely diagnosis.

I have been seen by Cardiologist  since August 2014 when I was hospitalised at St Joes for cardiac condition.
 
Cardiologist was adamant that I have and have had  high blood pressure for many years. I said that I had NEVER had high blood pressure ONLY LOW   After a few oft hese conversations, I brought the cardiologist blood pressure readings of 75/38  79/42 so that he could see for himself.
 
Carvedilol was the treatment offered  Felt awful on that, blood pressure was tanking lower and mentioned this to him. He asked me to continue. I asked what if it doesn't help  He told me he had a backup plan  I asked what did that look like, at which point he saw fit to end the appointment and make a quick exit!!
 
On my next visit after he had chatted a bit, I then asked him again about the backup plan. he told me there is NOT one.. Why lie to me? At this point my confidence in him is failing &  I was getting nervous...
 
I explained to cardiologist constant weight loss, poor appetite, constant diarrhea, light headedness, palpitations, shortness of breath, as well as the heart condition.  Was told the stomach issues were irrelevant and not connected to heart condition. Re-iterated this a few times again dismissed.

I started swelling up in May 2015, strange thing only on my right side. Foot, ankle and leg swelled, decided to visit the urgent care clinic as it was a Saturday evening, and may be heart related, I thought... The following week my sister accompanies me to see the cardiologist.. I inform him that the doctor at Urgent Care says another heart echo should be done to find out why the swelling started on my right foot, ankle and leg. He smirked however agreed. In conjunction he added some a pelvic and abdominal ultrasound  My sister asked why, he said we are looking for bad things really bad things . What kind of bad things she asked  Cancer says he!!  My sister suggests that diagnosis is somewhat early without other forms of tests..
 
Since June 2015 I have been taking Curcumin Doctors Vest and EGCG Green tea extract as well as duiretic and a beta blocker. I see the Amyloidosis people in November and hopefully have a full diagnosis then...
