A Aortic aneurysm interview , Alopecia.

Romondo's interview

How did all start?

Discovered during regular checkup. My GP ordered an ultrasound which I had a week later. From there I had a CT scan followed with the consultation with the vascular surgeon.

Do you already have a diagnosis? How long did it take you to get it?

I received the diagnosis one week after my doctor detected a possible aneurysm. After the ultrasound was completed, I met with the vascular surgeon three hours later.

How has your social and family environment reacted? Have your social or family relationships changed?

Friends and family are shocked but handling it well. I attribute that to how calm I am.

What things have you stopped doing?

Just lifting weights. I still walk 3–4 miles per day.

What do you think about the future?

After a month or so of recovery, I expect to be back to normal, except for the scar and the confidence that the rupture is not likely.

Finally, what advice would you give to a person in a similar situation?

First of all, I recommend everyone to have a checkup and screen for aortic aneurysm. Then I would advise anyone who has one to trust in God for peace, surgery with no complications, and fast recovery.
