When I was diagnosed.

May 24, 2017

First off, I will start by telling you I don't really remember it in much detail anymore.

When I was 9 years old, I spent most of my time alone, at school, at home, it didn't matter where I just wanted to be left alone. That is what I kept telling myself, I really just wanted a friend to hangout with. I used to do things to get attention, I used to throw things, and make up lies, I just did anything so people would talk to me. It was somewhere around June-July the next year, I was 10 years old at that time. I had recently been told I was getting a scholarship to get into a school that was 50+km (31 miles) from where I lived. This school had a lot of prestige and I wanted to go. Unfortunately I had really bad anger issues, mainly from being isolated and bullied for several years at that point. My teacher at the time decided to tell my class, and well, people in my class basically had a superiorty complex of some form. So the bullying got worse, alot worse and I was isolated even more. This continued till one day, I snapped and my teacher wouldn't listen to me, and was agreeing with the others. So in response I through a bin at her, causing her shoulder to be dislocated. I then walked out the room throwing all the tables and chairs in the hallways. This was my first ever, serious meltdown. (At least to my memory). It goes without saying, that I had nearly got in trouble with the law, but my teacher didn't press charges as she understood what I had went through and realised she had some blame in it. I recognised the fact that I had stuffed up big time, and the school that had the scholarship no longer wanted me. The school I was currently attending wanted me to be diagnosed with anything, so they could "handle" me better, but in reality they just wanted more money. So a few days later, my mother took me to get diagnosed. I sat a few tests and surveys and talked to the guy I was seeing. He diagnosed me with Asperger's Syndrome, ADHD, Depression, and Anxiety. I had to go on several new types of medication from there on out. Several weeks later, my younger brother had "dropped" his teacher, though she was really short, I'd say 4'4. Anyway, he had to go get diagnosed with something as well and he ended up being diagnosed with High-Function Autism, ODD, ADD, and some other thing, which he is no longer diagnosed with. The school after finding this out thought to themselves "Hey, let's put him in his older brother's class." Which is usally a no in the education system where I live, but they allowed it. This had made it harder to cope in class, as now I had my younger brother in there.

Thank you for reading, I know I went on with some pointless things, but I don't know how to tell it in any other way. I would have expressed emotions in there, but I don't know what ones I was feeling, if any at all. Anyway, Thanks again for reading my story of when I was diagnosed.
