The most common symptoms are oral and genital ulcers and different types of eye problems. Patients suffer from joints pain and stiffness, severe fatigue and variety of pains- from bones, through muscles, joints, headaches, finishing on skin lesions. The common symptom is erythema nodosum- red, painful tumours appearing mostly on limbs, sometimes covered with bleeding wounds.
Many patients complain about healing difficulties.
There is no treatment that can fully treat this disease, however we can try to reach remission.
Doctors mostly use those medicines in therapy (not all at once!):
It's recommended to try the non steroid- anti-inflammatory drugs in the beginning. The painkillers are necessary for daily use. Also different types of gels/creams can be useful for skin lesions. Patients should also use special diets, especially when having oral ulcers.
