How did all start?
With a chest infection

Took four years to get diagnosed following two CT scans

ENT for my chronic sinusitis
What has been the most useful thing for you so far?
Having five sinus surgeries most recently bilateral partial medial maxillectomies
What have been your biggest difficulties?
Chronic and repeated chest infections
How has your social and family environment reacted? Have your social or family relationships changed?
Family and colleagues have been very supported
What things have you stopped doing?
Nothing but sometimes have to wait until I’m well to do things
What do you think about the future?
I worry that I will become resistant to antibiotics
So far, which years have been the best years in your life? What have you done during them?
All years have been great for different reasons
What would you like to do if you didn’t have your condition?
I would be more physically active, spending more time in the outdoors
If you had to describe your life in a sentence, what would it be?
An adventure with some difficulties

If you have repeated chest infections that do not seem to go away completely with treatment, insist on investigations for bronchiectasis
