A Central Core Disease story

As a small child I became aware that I was not able to run like all my friends or climb trees and do all the other things all other boys did. I have two older brothers and a twin sister they are like me but gowing up this was never spoken about, in our family you just got on with it the best you could. I can remember commenting to my parents about how I seem to be weak, I tried hard but it was no use. It was'nt until my third daughter was born we were aware something was wrong with her so was referred to specialists. I had a muscle biopsy because they thought what she had I had given her. The results came back CCD, I had never heard of it before. My two other daughters have been tested, I,m pleased to say that they are free of the condition.
