How did all start?
Over night. As an acute onset of vertigo, nausea, vomiting and hearing loss

For what medical specialties have you been treated? What has been the most useful specialty for your?
ENT, eye doctor, Rheumatologist
What has been the most useful thing for you so far?
Ability to work. High dose prednisone didn’t work. As a matter of fact, the ENT started at a very high dose and he could never wean me off below 100mg. Cytoxen proved to be the winner and I was able to come completely off steroids and burn my immune system out.
Cochleae implants also proved to be a game changer on a daily bases!!
What have been your biggest difficulties?
Struggling with deafness.
How has your social and family environment reacted? Have your social or family relationships changed?
Supportive to a degree
What things have you stopped doing?
Climbing ladders, and anything that has to do with walking at night
What do you think about the future?

Nothing. I’m doing basically everything I want

Frustrating

Don’t give up. Your illness does not define you. You define your Illness.
