A Crohn's disease story

Dec 2, 2

I was diagnosed in 2000. After numerous doctors not listening to my symptoms. I was finally admitted into hospital for a blood transfusion. That's when I had scopes and biopsies. I have had quite a turbulent time with crohns, have tried numerous treatments. After a relapse last yr and 6 months of steroids I was told I have severe crohns of my terminal ilium. I was put on infliximab and had a delayed reaction to which me and the gastro specialist was not prepared to keep going with the infustions. I have been put on humira and have found that along with Aizothioprine has helped a great deal. However my side effects from both include low blood counts and a poor immune system.
