How did all start?
Around 9 years ago could be earlier though as always had tummy troubles
Do you already have a diagnosis? How long did it take you to get it?
Yes just recently took 9 years to get it
For what medical specialties have you been treated? What has been the most useful specialty for your?
Not much really I’m very recently diagnosed so only just at the start of my journey to getting help
What has been the most useful thing for you so far?
Ice pops and hot baths
What have been your biggest difficulties?
Being in hospital and not being able to see my daughter
How has your social and family environment reacted? Have your social or family relationships changed?
My family and friends are very supportive but I find it hard to get people to understand
What things have you stopped doing?
A lot! I’m on the verge of quitting my job
What do you think about the future?
I don’t even know I’m worried about it
So far, which years have been the best years in your life? What have you done during them?
The past 4 having my daughter and being with my partner and training to be a massage therapist and helping people.
What would you like to do if you didn’t have your condition?
Run a massage school
If you had to describe your life in a sentence, what would it be?
Difficult, eventful and also very blessed
Finally, what advice would you give to a person in a similar situation?
Stay strong there is always light at the end of the tunnel no matter how dark it may seem
