How did all start?
A small swelling / lump appeared on mu left palm below the ring finger
Do you already have a diagnosis? How long did it take you to get it?
Yes, my doctor diagnosed Dupuytren's Syndrome immediately
For what medical specialties have you been treated? What has been the most useful specialty for your?
Radiation Therapy on effected area of palm and fingers - 5x daily radiation exposure and 2nd session needed after 3 - 4 months
What has been the most useful thing for you so far?
Not a lot so far - Magnesium 250mg supplement tablets help the pain and relax the hand a little
What have been your biggest difficulties?
The condition has no cure - this has a psychological impact. Radiation Therapy not shown great results yet and hand is tightening up and the cord is growing. The frozen shoulder (related) is the most painful aspect
How has your social and family environment reacted? Have your social or family relationships changed?
Not at all
What things have you stopped doing?
Playing the guitar - more psychological than physical
What do you think about the future?
Trump needs to resign
My hand - it is likely to deteriorate unless I find a treatment that slows the condition. May be the 2nd RT session will help further
So far, which years have been the best years in your life? What have you done during them?
Eerly 30s - lots of adventures, extreme / high risk sports, travel

Become a guitar god

Action packed roller-coaster

Read, research and don't jump in to surgery. Tread carefully on the treatment options
