How did all start?
Got sick with COVID and that messed up my cardiovascular system
Do you already have a diagnosis? How long did it take you to get it?
tests are still ongoing, but the doctor is leaning towards POTS, it has taken about two months

What has been the most useful thing for you so far?
Kind and understanding doctors.
What have been your biggest difficulties?
Social stigma, internalized ableism, adjusting to being less mobile
How has your social and family environment reacted? Have your social or family relationships changed?
Everyone thinks i’m going to get better, but I’m not so sure. I feel bad about asking my friends to help me clean and do groceries, but they say they don’t mind.
What things have you stopped doing?
Going out, Laundry
What do you think about the future?
I try not to
So far, which years have been the best years in your life? What have you done during them?
College, I think. I was still in pain a lot but i was physically active and had friends whom I love dearly. I was also close to nature which helped.
What would you like to do if you didn’t have your condition?
Hike everyday, go rock climbing, do chores unassisted.

Finally, what advice would you give to a person in a similar situation?
Don’t wait to get help, the sooner you take action, the easier it is to cope and get treatment. Don’t be afraid to ask for help doing “simple” tasks.
