Inflammatory bowel diseases that can manifest in many ways ranging from pain, distention, diarrhea, constipation, bleeding, fistulas, blockages, weight loss, the conditions are life long with some having periods of remission. Most often while utilizing an immune system modifier such as remicaide, Humira etc
Some have success with dietary changes. Most notably the Specific Carbohydrate Diet being used by Childrens Hospital of Seattle for their young patients. Another with some success is FODMAP.
There is currently research in Fecal Transplanting as a way of modifying the disease.
