Story about Endometriosis .

It takes so long to be diagnosed

Dec 13, 2015

By: Tessa

I have had pains to the point of fainting, but doctors kept on telling me to just take some paracetemol and stay in bed for a few days. It took over 10 years to get a diagnosis since the pain started. It's stage 4 and I continue to be in pain every day. Luckily I found out about the diet. As a result of conscious decisions of my own doing, I have improved my quality of life enormously. I am conscious about food and my body, I excersise as much as possible and try to stay as emotionally balanced as possible.

I think I have done much more for myself than any doctor ever has and ever will. I wish there would be a solution with which doctors can help, but they don't care about the actual disease and the underlying causes. They just treat the symptoms.

Hi Tessa,

I see you live in Amsterdam. Have you tried the clinic at the VUmc? They are specialising in endometriosis. I am currently under treatment there. Just had my first exam last week. They take you seriously and will treat the disease if possible.

Hope this helps you out!
