February 27 my son started running fever and would not move from my lap. For a week he got new symptoms such as vomiting,  stomach pain, leg pain & swelling, purpura rash, headache, forehead and eye swelling, would not eat and only drink a small amount. During this time we were in and out of doctors office and hospital. First told strep, then told UTI, then told toxic synovitis, and finally got a real diagnosis of Henoch Schonlein Purpura.. every time I think he is getting better, a new rash or swelling appears bit he will eat now and the swelling doesn't make it where he can't walk.
