Apr 27, 2016

By: Sprotte

I originally come from Kiel, Germany and moved to the UK in 1985. In 2005, I was finally diagnosed with Hamochromatosis which has affected my joints very badly. After having been venesected for about 6 months in 2005/2006, the arthritis got worse I had to have a hip replacement in 2006 and another one in 2008. I also have problems with both hands, the right one in particular (iron fist) and one ankle joint is affected. Thankfully, my organs are fine.  My children are all carriers.
