How did all start?
Signs of puberty at age 3
Do you already have a diagnosis? How long did it take you to get it?
Yes. Maybe 6 months?
For what medical specialties have you been treated? What has been the most useful specialty for your?
Lupron for precocious puberty. I was in a study at UVA in early childhood. I took until I was 14
What has been the most useful thing for you so far?
Being treated like I was normal. Finding out I had ADHD.
What have been your biggest difficulties?
Others not understanding me
How has your social and family environment reacted? Have your social or family relationships changed?
My mom treats me like a child instead of the 30 year old I am.
What things have you stopped doing?
Continuing my education
What do you think about the future?
I worry about my memory.
What would you like to do if you didn’t have your condition?
Be a doctor of something. Have children.
If you had to describe your life in a sentence, what would it be?
Very difficult at times but better than others.
Finally, what advice would you give to a person in a similar situation?
We are all different. Don't baby your child and give them space. Don't pity yourself
