Malgorzata’s story

Dec 9, 2020

By: Agata

My best friend Małgorzata Gorczyca-Antosz (a woman with the biggest heart and an unbelievably talented painter) has LGMD, limb-girdle muscular dystrophy, a progressive genetic disorder. Małgorzata has been gradually losing the ability to do basic things independently. At present she has to use a ventilator for 15-20 hours a day. She has been using a wheelchair for the past 25 years. Both her and her husband Andrzej her “Angel with Strong Arms” as she calls him, work to meet basic financial needs. Małgorzata desperately needs a new wheelchair which is adapted to her physical needs but the Polish health services will only cover a fraction of the total costs.
If you feel you are in a position to help, please send a donation to her PayPal: http://paypal.me/pools/c/8uYbS3qNie
She will be grateful for any help. She also has a blog mocnaoddechem.pl where she posts about her life with LGMD (this is currently being translated into English)
