Big heart with big problems

I was born with both of my conditions—long QT type 2 and OCD. I just found this website trying to learn more about my heart condition since i find it fascinating!! It’s also very rare and many people who die from it don’t know they have it, so any knowledge of it is greatly beneficial!!! My Aunt Patty passed away due to a cardiac arrest after labor since she had long QT. nobody in my family knew they had it, but several did. It’s hereditary, and because of her, I was able to be put on beta blockers since I was born. Because of her, I’m alive and well. So the real hero here is Patricia Lamparyk. I never got to meet her, but i’m sure she saved my life. I’m an athlete who does CARDIAC sports, so without her, i would’ve most likely had an episode. type two is more of an emotional reaction, so if i went to a haunted house, it could’ve been detrimental. luckily, since birth i knew i wasn’t allowed. I also have OCD, a mental illness i’ve lived with forever. I had emetophobia, or the fear of throwing up, when I was younger to an extreme extent. I wouldn’t get in the car for fear of getting carsick. If someone puked in a movie i’d have a panic attack. I couldn’t even TALK about it without feeling endangered. That was what my OCD shaped into—anxiety. Then came the counting. I had to blink, touch, and step three times for practically everything. It came in waves, whenever i was unfocused and vulnerable. I had the germ stage, too. I had to use sanitizer after going to the bathroom because I touched the table with my pinky finger. It was that extreme. Now, it’s working out and eating healthy. I have memorized the sugar content of every food I eat daily, which isn’t necessarily a good thing. I stress out if I eat too much junk food, not as much as I used to, but I still do. It all used to be worse, but I’m learning. So nice to meet you, and I hope I can help at least one person by just existing.
