My Menier's Journey

Jul 23, 2018

By: Jill

Year Condition Began: 1988

It started in 1988. I turned my head to look behind me and BAM hearing in my right ear was muffled. Hearing test confirmed this. Unable to get a diagnosis. I had ear fullness, and some "clicking" sounds in this ear along with hearing distortion.

Around 15 years later, I started to get periods of dizziness, Then full blown vertigo attacks would come in clusters.
I was diagnosed with Menier's Disease during this time.

Vertigo attacks subsided 4 years ago (2014). This April I had a severe vertigo attack (totally out of the blue) followed by 2 more less severe attacks. Since then, I have 24/7 dizziness. Not spinning vertigo, but a light headed, disoriented feeling. There has been 3 weeks (not concurrent) that I had no symptoms.

I haven't had much tinnitus.

I take Diazipam when I'm having an attack.

I have an appt. with my ENT tomorrow....hoping he can help me.
