Does anyone with MSA experience the sensation like you are "bobbing up and down" on a boat? I experience this most of the time. It tends to lessen by standing up or laying down! If so, do you know what it is?
My brother did that. The doctor stated it was the muscles. As this disease progresses, weakness can take over. I don't know about the standing up. It seems it would be worse. I definitely can understand the lying down. It would lesson the work the body has to do
I am a Japanese neurologist. I experienced patients who developed such symptom. I consider that it is one of cerebellar symptoms associated with MSA. However, patients with a disease of the internal ear also develop such symptom, it is important to be checked such diseases.
Yes, my late husband often felt this way especially when his blood pressure would deviate. He would also become a bit nauseous, but never severely. Often the sensation would diminish if he reclined in his power chair or his lift chair.
