Baptiste's interview
How did all start?
Summer 1990, after a scouting camp when I was 13, i had a lot of spots on my hands and suffered from them. My parents brang me to the dermatologist who has just received a short training on disease that could affect the skin. Bingo ! His suspicions were right and he oriented me to the research center in Paris where I was warmly welcomed.
Do you already have a diagnosis? How long did it take you to get it?
Very quick and the feedback went quickly also
For what medical specialties have you been treated? What has been the most useful specialty for your?
Not needed.
What has been the most useful thing for you so far?
That I have been able to put a name on the issue I had since I was born.
What have been your biggest difficulties?
Keep the balance between my behaviour (a teenager who beats life as much as I can) and the crisis
How has your social and family environment reacted? Have your social or family relationships changed?
Yes definitely.
What things have you stopped doing?
Intense exposure to the sun
What do you think about the future?
That my kids will face the same difficulties and hope that they ll have the good behaviour
So far, which years have been the best years in your life? What have you done during them?
These years, raising my children to be good people, helpfull to the others

Live with it and consider that it could have been worse
