How did all start?

Started 2016 with scleritis followed by nose flare in form swelling and excruciating pain

Do you already have a diagnosis? How long did it take you to get it?

Working diagnosis September 2016- September 2018. Formally diagnosed with severe relapsing polychondritis in September 2018. Now on biological meds - Humira

For what medical specialties have you been treated? What has been the most useful specialty for your?

Rheumatologists Neurologists Dermatologists ENTs Immunologist Respiratory specialists Cardiologist Orthopaedic specialist Psychologist Diagnosis from immunologist

What has been the most useful thing for you so far?

Prednisone has helped most to date Just started humira and weaning off prednisone.

What have been your biggest difficulties?

Dismissive doctors and doctors who don’t listen

How has your social and family environment reacted? Have your social or family relationships changed?

I no longer socialise and only leave home for medical appointments or hospital admissions.

What things have you stopped doing?

Unable to work at present

What do you think about the future?

I take one day at a time
