In the life of saethre chotzen syndrome

By: Amanda

I was born with scs droopy eyes, nose is different, teeth problems, speech & spelling & learning problems. My childhood was alright, i was bullied alot and had a few friends. The nightmare began in highschool i was bullied everyday, each year my friends changed because i was different looking and the didnt want to be around me. I had a few boyfriends but would leave me after they got teased, all my crushes dated my sister because she was the pretty 1. When i turned 18 i left school and had my surgery to fill in my forehead that took a toll my left eye was left permanently turned in and it took a year for my face to settle down. Adults and children would still stare at me and say somthing about my looks and still to this day. I got diagnosed with poly cystic ovarian syndrome and bi polar depression in my mid 20s and think to myself why me !! Ive tried to take my life a couple of times because it gets to me people starring, being over weight and jobless. I am now 26 and have a job in disability, i still have down days about my looks and people starring. Im lucky to have my family who still loves me, a boyfriend who thinks im beautiful and a cat who thinks the world about me.
