How did all start?

I got really sick and was having a hard time standing up. I felt like I Was going to die.

Do you already have a diagnosis? How long did it take you to get it?

Yes I have been diagnosed with sarcoidosis and it took many year to find my diagnosis

For what medical specialties have you been treated? What has been the most useful specialty for your?

I have seen a rheumatologist Pulmonary Cardiologist

What has been the most useful thing for you so far?

Medication and positivity and lots of patience

What have been your biggest difficulties?

It's been difficult breathing and my energy is very low. I used to be very athletic My life has totally changed. But I won't let that get in my way

How has your social and family environment reacted? Have your social or family relationships changed?

I have not been able to do the things I used to do. It did cause problems because people did not understand at 1st. But now the way I live my life has changed quite a bit. I am not as active as I used to be. And I'm in a lot of pain

What things have you stopped doing?

Sports Doing outdoor activities My art work sometimes because it's hard to see. It has made it difficult for me to do my household duties. And I have not been able to work for years. I even had a hard time brushing my hair because of the joint problems it would exhaust me and it would hurt me

What do you think about the future?

I live like it's my 1st Time seen something and my last time. I enjoy every day to the fullest when I can. And I plan on sticking around a long time. I got too many great things in my life to watch Grow.

So far, which years have been the best years in your life? What have you done during them?

Oh raising my children Watching them to proceed. I love the sky diving bungee jumping, Zip lining, and Swimming. I've always loved taking A ventures and hiking.

What would you like to do if you didn’t have your condition?

Oh everything. I love life I just can't do the things I want my body won't let me.

If you had to describe your life in a sentence, what would it be?

Very hard but a very good life. I'm very proud of where I've been and I'm proud of what I'm doing now. I love making a difference in life for everyone around me. I truly feel blessed that I am here today and I will fight to be here tomorrow.

Finally, what advice would you give to a person in a similar situation?

Don't let this disease get you down. Enjoy life to your fullest remember you're not dead yet. Fight for every breath you take Because each one of them Is something to be thankful for and your find the beauty in life
