Story about Spinal Muscular Atrophy .

Weak Type I . . . years later

Jan 22, 2016

By: Stella

Stella was diagnosed at just one month of age--she became floppy almost overnight.  We were told weeks or months because she was the weakest Mayo said they had seen to date but as of 2016, she's almost 9 years old. I only tell you this to give you some HOPE if you are a newly diagnosed family.  Don't let the doom and gloom overtake you if you want to give your child a life.  It's a rollercoaster but the blessing is worth it!
